Bryn Kenney Triumphs in the PCA $100K Super High Roller

He was third at both 2011 and 2015 PCA $100k Super High Rollers, but this time Bryn Kenney went all the way for the title. He banked $1,687,800, the biggest payday of his career. It's the first seven-figure result for the 29-year-old American, who's now nearly up to $8.4 million in live tournament winnings.

Yesterday, Kenney also became the most succesful player in the PCA Super High Roller history, cashing for $3.2 million in total.

Kenney led for the final day with just six players left and after beating the 58-entry field, he clinched his first ever Super High Roller triumph.

The 2015 WSOP Main Event champion, 24-year-old Joe McKeehen played his first ever EPT Super High Roller here and finished second on his debut, taking $1,220,840. Ankush Mandavia was eliminated in third place securing $787,640, the largest cash of his career.

Among the six finalists, Mustapha Kanit was the only non-US player. Aged 24, the Italian is already a clear #1 in his nation's all-time money list and yesterday he added another $596,360 to his name after finishing fourth in the PCA $100k Super High Roller. Including yesterday's result, Kanit has nearly $5.5 million in live tournament winnings with the better part of that coming in the last ten months.

Fifth place finisher David Peters has been outstanding in the first days of 2016. He came to the PCA after winning $2.3 million in the WPT Triton Super High Roller in Philippines. Right after Day 1 of the SHR here, he sat down to the $10k Survivor Event to win $100k and two days later, Peters collected another $461,340 in the PCA SHR to bring his live tournament cashes over a $10m mark.

Isaac Haxton was the first player to leave the table yesterday, receiving $360,060 for the sixth place.

There were 44 players in the PCA Super High Roller, generating 58 entries. The $5,626,000 prize pool is divvied up between top eight finishers.
