EPT12 Dublin schedule released

The PokerStars.com European Poker Tour released the schedule for next February's Season 12 stop in Dublin.

See ept.com for full details. The EPT is heading back to the Irish capital for the first time in eight years with a 12-day extravaganza at the Royal Dublin Society in Ballsbridge, a fantastic venue which is just five minutes away from the action-packed heart of the city centre. The EPT 12 Dublin Poker Festival will feature 64 events, running February 9-20, 2016.

As well as the €5,300 EPT Dublin Main Event and €1,100 UKIPT Main Event, the event will include the flagship €25k High Roller, a one-day €10k High Roller, and a regular €10k High Roller event at the tail end of the festival. With space at a premium at the RDS, the two 1a and 1b start flights for the UKIPT Main Event will be kicking off at 10am but resuming a noon start time from Day 2 onwards.

A special Juniors tourney for players aged 18-21, last hosted at the PokerStars and Monte-Carlo®Casino EPT11 Grand Final, is back on the schedule with a €100 version bound to appeal to Dublin's large poker-loving student population. Other highlights will include a €150 buy-in charity event to raise funds for the EPT’s official charity partner Right To Play plus a €5k NL event right at the start of the festival.

The last EPT Dublin winner was American Reuben Peters who beat Annette Obrestad heads-up for a €532,620 first prize in Season 4. The other three Dublin champions have been: Roland de Wolfe (Season 3, €554,300); Mats Gavatin (Season 2, €317,000) and Ram Vaswani (Season 1, €93,000)
