Kenney leads for PCA 2016 $100K SHR Final day
The 29-year-old from California will add his third cash from this event tomorrow. More than that, he's entering the final day in chip lead, bagging 3,820,000 tonight with only six players remaining in contention for the $1,687,800 first prize. Kenney has been a Super High Roller regular for years and his live tournament winnings exceed $6.7 million. Plus, his online resumé is also very tasty as he's reached more than $1m in profit on PokerStars.
Ankush "pistons87" Mandavia follows in second place with 3,360,000. He's no stranger to the poker scene, being a famous online high stakes player in both cash games and heads-up sit and gos. Mandavia is doing pretty good in tournaments as well, having a WCOOP and SCOOP titles under his belt. On the live scene, he has cashed for $1.5 million so far and making the final six of the PCA $100k Super High Roller secured him his career's biggest live tournament payday as he's already guaranteed $360,060.
2015 WSOP Main Event champion Joe McKeehen and EPT11 Malta €10k High Roller winner David Peters are tied in third, both having 2,085,000. Isaac Haxton has 1,395,000 while the 2015 SCOOP-H Main Event champion Mustapha Kanit is the only non-American player remaining, although short stacked with 1,030,000.
There were 44 players in the PCA Super High Roller, generating 58 entries. The $5,626,000 prize pool is divvied up between top eight finishers.
