Welcome to European Poker Tour Malta

The EPT is back in Malta for the second time this year with the PokerStars.com EPT 12 Malta Poker Festival. Held in conjunction with Pagano Events and the Italian Poker Tour, the festival will feature a total of 76 events at Portomaso Casino from October 20-31, 2015.

The EPT is back in Malta for the second time this year with the PokerStars.com EPT 12 Malta Poker Festival. Held in conjunction with Pagano Events and the Italian Poker Tour, the festival will feature a total of 76 events at Portomaso Casino from October 20-31, 2015.

The €1,100 IPT Main Event is the first major tourney of the festival starting October 21, with Team PokerStars Pros Luca Pagano and Matthias De Meulder plus PokerStars Mind Sports Ambassador Jennifer Shahade among those competing.

The €5,300 EPT Malta Main Event kicks off four days later on October 25. More than 200 players have qualified for both events, including some 50 players who have won seats for both the IPT and the EPT. They include Georgios Zisimopoulos, Jason Wheeler, Vicente Delgado, Rocco Palumbo and Yann Dion. There were 15 players who won their EPT ME seats for just €55 or less.

 

Players will also have three High Rollers to look forward to:

  • a three-day €25k HR starting October 23
  • the first EPT Malta one-day €10k, on October 26*
  • the regular €10k HR starting October 29.

*Single day HRs made their debuted in Monaco and are now a standard for EPT12

 

The schedule also includes a variety of games never played at an EPT before such as Mix (NLHE, NL 2-7 Single Draw, PLO, PL 2-7 Double Draw), 10 Game Mix, HORSE Dealer's Choice, Quintuple Stud, Quintuple Draw, Splitsville Dealer's Choice, NL Turbo with four blinds and Sextuple Omaha.

As well as the 76 tourneys on the schedule, there will also be 45 cash game tables running 24/7 (with shufflers) from October 20 – 31.

At the debut EPT Malta in March, Frenchman Jean Montury won the €5,300 Main Event for €687,400 after beating an 895-strong field. Malta was also where Dzmitry Urbanovich won a record four side events, helping him secure the EPT Player of the Year title.
