Chris Leong wins 2016 WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open
The final table was a tough one and featured players like reigning World Series of Poker main event champion Joe McKeehen and 2009 WPT Championship winner Yevgeniy Timoshenko.
However, the two big names had to settle with only big cashes this time, as Timoshenko was eventually eliminated in 5th place for over $200,000 and McKeehen in 4th place for almost $250,000.
On the final hand of the tournament, Leong moved all-in against Rafael Yaraliyev, who called with Q Q for his entire ~10 million chip stack. Leong turned over A 8, and hit an ace to take down the title and a whopping $816,246 first-place price.
After this win, Leong has nearly $1,2 million in total live tournament cashes.
