Pavel Plesuv leads after day 3 od WPT Prague
After winning a massive late hand against Jerry Ödeen, Pavel Plesuv overtook Pavel Veksler at the top of the leaderboard after a great day’s play on Day 3.
Overnight chip leader Brian Senie came into play with 759,000, almost treble his nearest competitor. But after getting involved in a few pots with Ödeen himself, Senie dropped down the pecking order and eventually busted to Henrik Hecklen. At one stage, Hecklen looked like the man to beat, but he dropped a little in the last level while others such as Sergio Aido and Steve O’Dwyer were making strides. The longest lasting British hope was a first-time WPT Main Event player in Ben Heath, but he lost a flip to bust outside the Top 20.
With 18 left, we still have massive names in the field waiting to pounce. O’Dwyer is one, but other heavyweights like Aido, Yann Dion and David Abreu will take some stopping. There is certainly everything to play for when play restarts at 2pm local time here in the Kings Casino in Prague on saturday.
