Senie Huge Chip Leader After Day 2 of WPT Prague Main Event

American pro Brian Senie bagged a chip lead so big after the second day of play at WPT Prague

Brian Senie came into play with a decent stack but a tough table, featuring Simon Deadman, Michel Abercassis and Yann Dion. He was quickly moved to a table including Steve O’Dwyer and the massive chip leader at the time, Joshua Cranfield. But you get the feeling very little affects Brian Senie in the heat of a poker battle, and the quiet man on Day 2 racked up an incredible 759,000 chips at the end of the day – nearly 10% of the chips in play with seven tables of players left.

Elsewhere, other big names survived to see another Day’s play here in Prague. Gaelle Baumann and Pierre Chevalier lead a French charge, while Vasili Firsau and Suleyman Erdar proved thorns in the sides of many players throughout play. Others weren’t so lucky and won’t be returning at 2pm tomorrow to try to get into the money places of the top 27. Kevin MacPhee, the Irish triumvirate of Dermot Blain, Dara O’Kearney, Chris Dowling and former WPT Main Event champion Matas Cimbolas weren’t so lucky.

Eventually, 60 players made it to Day 3.
