After five 90-minute levels of no-limit hold’em, Sam Soverel leads the way at the end of Day 2 of the WPT L.A. Poker Classic.

At the end of the day, there were just 111 players still alive fighting for the title and first place prize money.

Other notables to make it through the day include Phil laak (205,600), Ryan Riess (299,800), David Paredes (111,600), Andy Frankenberger (87,200), Mike Gorodinsky (194,500), John Hennigan (251,100), Bryn Kenney (109,000), Joe McKeehen (218,500), Stephen Chidwick (317,000), and current WPT Player of the Year leader Cate Hall (82,500).
