Last week he announced a new partnership with the Aussie Millions that will see him stream exclusive coverage of the festival’s main event from his immensely popular Twitch channel, and today it’s been announced that Team PokerStars Pro Jason Somerville will also be covering two of the PCA’s marquee events.
Poker’s top streamer, known fondly by his many adoring fans as ‘JCarver’, is set to be commentating live from the tournament floor in the Bahamas from January 8th-14th using the PokerStars.tv channel as a hub instead of his own.
Specific details are still sketchy, but it has been promised that Somerville will be joined by a host of various co-commentators during his time on air for both the $5,200 Main Event and $100K Super High Roller.
There will also be other “cool stuff” on the channel during lulls in the two aforementioned tournaments, including live poker streaming from Somerville himself, fellow Twitch poker star Jaime Staples (who recently received a full PokerStars Team Online sponsorship deal for his continued streaming success) and others.
With over 9,000,000 unique views and 147,000 people following his Twitch channel’s every move, it’s easy to see why Somerville is the name at the top of everyone’s list where these streaming gigs are concerned; and long may the trend continue if his unique brand of entertainment can keep luring the masses to the rail.
