Michael Mizrachi Wins Side Event at WPT Seminole Hard Rock Showdown

Four-time WSOP bracelet winner Michael Mizrachi added yet another title to his lengthy list of poker accomplishments this week at WPT Seminole Hard Rock Showdown.

Mizrachi won the 312-player and $570 buy-in No Limit Hold’em 6-Max side event after a strong final table appearance. According to the live-updates, Mizrachi held the chip lead for almost all of the late stages of the tournament and eventually bested Steve Karp heads-up to take home the trophy and $32,899.

The prize money might not be much for Mizrachi, who has almost $15 million in tournament earnings, but it will surely give him good confidence going into the WPT Tournament of Champions event on April 22.

“I felt unstoppable. I couldn’t lose a hand. When that goes out your way and you’re playing well, you can’t lose.”, said Mizrachi.

His brother Robert Mizrachi, also a multiple WSOP bracelet winner, secured a payday of $174,700 after taking 2nd place in a similar side event a day earlier.

“The Mizrachis are doing well. It’s nice the next day to pull one off right after him. It’s pretty cool.”, Michael commented Robert's success.

However, both of the Mizrachi brothers failed to make a deep run in the massive $3,500 buy-in SHRPO event, that is now down to final 74 players.
