Poker dealer accused of cheating in Cleveland casino

A 57 year old poker dealer from Cleveland, USA has been indicted by a Cuyahoga County grand jury after being accused of deliberately hiding a card up his sleeve during a game on September 6th.

The dealer, a Mr Robert D. Brown, vehemently denies the allegations, claiming that it was a "fluke" that the card had got up his sleeve and that he had no prior knowledge of this. In fact, he told Fox News 8 that the reason the floor knew the card had gone missing was that he personally alerted the floor manager that a card was missing after the automatic shuffler he was using indicated a card was missing, prompting the search.

However, investigators who viewed the casino’s videotape allegedly noticed Brown place the card inside the sleeve of his shirt.

Brown is due in court on November 13th. At present there is no motive being presented and no other players or employees from the casino are suspected or under investigation.

Brown has been suspended by the Horseshoe pending the completion of the investigation
