WSOP Circuit: Stybaniewicz wins Hammond Main Event and $356K
The largest Circuit Main Event of 2015 concluded early Tuesday morning at the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Ind.
The $1,675 finale boasted a field of 1,376 entries besting last year’s mark and generating a prize pool of $2,064,000.
Following four days and more than 48 hours of play, Denver’s Krzysztof Stybaniewicz laid claim to the tournament’s title.
Stybaniewicz, a semi-pro, earned $356,043 in addition to his second Circuit gold ring and a berth in the season-ending WSOP Global Casino Championship.

EPT Malta: Byron Kaverman wins EPT €10K High Roller
This has been a stunning year for American pro Byron Kaverman, the current leader of the Global Poker Index ranking.
He arrived for the EPT12 Malta Poker Festival having already won more than $2.8 million in live tournaments since January, and has now proved his talents once again, taking down the €10k High Roller at Portomaso Casino.
Along with the title and coveted trophy, Kaverman, originally from Ohio but now living in California's San Diego, can add another €430,800 to his account.

Dzmitry Urbanovich has scored again
Dzmitry Urbanovich, who won a record four titles at EPT Malta last season and is the current EPT Player of the Year, has scored his first title at this season’s Malta festival. He beat Finnish player Jyri Merivirta to take down the €5k Mixed Games tourney for a €15,760 first prize. There were only five entries in the event, creating a €24,250 prize pool. The other three players were Jussi Nevanlinna, Sampo Ryynanen and Adam Owen.

Roman Skudar wins €300 Malta Cup
Ukraine’s Roman Skudar achieved by far the best result of his live poker career last night by beating Poland’s Grzegorz Wyraz heads-up to win the €300 Malta Cup for €48,155. The prize was some 14 times greater than the 38-year-old’s total live tournament winnings to date. Wyraz, who finished third in last season’s IPT Malta High Roller, snagged €29,320 for his runner-up finish while Day 2 chip leader David Breitfuss from Austria was third for €20,580 and Britain’s Neil Ryder, chip leader at the start of the final day, finished fourth for €15,459. There were 894 entries in all, creating a €260,154 prize pool. Among the 134 players to cash were French pro Guillaume Diaz (who won the EPT Deauville €2k), Irish pros David Lappin and Dara O`Kearney , Sweden’s Sofia Lovgren and her boyfriend Luca Moschitta, Team PokerStars Pro Online’s Giada Fang, PokerStars marketing manager Alfonso Cardalda and Christin Maschmann, a project manager at PokerStars HQ.

Mike McDonald scoops EPT Malta €25K High Roller title
Mike McDonald has just extended his long list of poker achievements by winning the EPT12 Malta €25k High Roller event. McDonald beat Finnish veteran Juha Helppi heads-up to take down the event for a giant €498,575 payday.

Pillet wins EPT Malta women's event
French player Caroline Pillet won the EPT12 Malta €200 Women's Event yesterday after beating PokerStars Mind Sports Ambassador Jennifer Shahade heads-up. Pillet, who finished 12th at the Women’s Event at EPT12 Barcelona, got €3,360 and her first trophy while Shahade picked up €2,430 for her runner-up finish. Casa Degli Assi winner Sabina Hiatullah finished fourth for €1,170. There were 55 entrants, with seven players partaking of the €10,670 prize pool.

EPT Malta: Carrel beats tough field in €5K Win he Button!
Only five players sat down for €5k Win the Button tourney but you couldn’t ask for a tougher table than the likes of Ben Heath, Martin Finger, Patrick Leonard, Charlie Carrel and IPT7 Malta1 champion Georgios Zisimopoulos. Eventually, it was the youngest player who took it down.
Jersey-born Carrel, 22, beat his best friend Heath heads-up to collect the €15,760 top prize and first trophy of the festival while Heath, 23, earned €8,490 for his efforts. Carrel's first big score on the European Poker Tour came in Malta in March when he made the final of the €10k High Roller, finishing fifth for €183,800; just two months later he won the PokerStars and Monte-Carlo®Casino EPT Grand Final Grand Final High Roller for a monster cash of €1,114,000.

Canada's 'Nolet20' Wins MicroMillions Main Event for $89,854!
The 11th edition of PokerStars' MicroMillions concluded on Sunday with the $1 million guarantee Main Event. The $22 buy-in tournament drew 55,524 entries, which boosted the $1 million guarantee with another $110,480!
Although $111,111 was put aside for the eventual winner, the last five players agreed upon a deal in which the winner, Nolet20, took home "only" $89,854.68.
