Online Poker: Alex Kostritsyn Wins $700K In A Week
Russian poker pro Alex “joiso” Kostritsyn won $710,000 over the past seven days on the Internet, according to tracking data from HighstakeDB. It was the most in the online poker world during the stretch.
It took him roughly 9,400 hands to win the amount, which bested “supernova9” ($438,000), Ben “Sauce123” Sulsky ($214,000), “fjutekk” ($136,000) and Mikael “ChaoRen160” Thuritz ($102,000). Kostritsyn put in more volume than anyone on the leader board.

Ludovic Geilich Wins Wynn Classic Main Event
Ludovic Geilich has won the 2016 Card Player Poker Tour Wynn Classic $1,600 buy-in no-limit hold’em main event, outlasting a field of 499 entries to win the title, the trophy and the $150,662 first-place prize.
The 28-year-old Scottish poker pro from Glasgow also earned 720 Card Player Player of the Year points for the win, enough to move him into 90th place in the overall standings.

$300K Super High Roller Bowl sells out 10 weeks early
Following on from its successful debut last summer, the Aria will once again be hosting the massive Super High Roller Bowl in 2016.

Gaming Media Pioneer Stanley Sludikoff Passes Away at Age 80 After Long Illness
Stanley Sludikoff, a groundbreaking publisher who printed the first gaming and the first poker magazines, passed away March 12 at the age of 80 after a long battle with leukemia. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Ann Blumberg Sludikoff, and three children. Services are scheduled for Wednesday at Mt. Sinai in the Hollywood Hills.

Mayu "marroca5" Roca is one of Columbia's live top money winners claiming fourth place at the European Poker Tour Grand Finale two years ago earning $579,682. Roca was already established as a force online before that EPT final table winning a WCOOP bracelet and SCOOP watch along with nearly four million dollars in online winnings. Add a Sunday Warm-Up title to the list as the Columbian took down the $400,000 guarantee earning $70,912.00. Coming into the final table Roca would only have nearly a third of the chips held by the final table chip leader.
